Mariah Carey's plan to première new single The Art Of Letting Go via Facebook seems to have backfired on the Diva.You wanna know why? Turns out the wrong version was uploaded by some naughty engineer!

There has been a whole host of live events that I haven't managed to cover on the blog- most notably Black Girls Rock and the European Music Awards. I did consider just letting the events float by, undocumented, but decided you guys deserve more! So here goes!

ARGH! I'm out and have no way to listen to Mariah Carey's new song, The Art Of Letting Go, which has debuted on the Diva's Facebook page!! Please guys, take a listen to it at that link and let me know what I should expect by leaving a comment. I've already had one opinion-from a member of family- saying simply: "Auto-Tune". Should I be worried?! Or are they trolling me, knowing I can't hear it! If it is bad, please at least let the glorious strings and soaring whistles that were hinted at in the teaser be indicative of a quality production!

[Watch] Taylor Swift Duets With Alison Krauss @ 2013 Country Music Association Awards

Taylor Swift performed a beautiful and stripped back version of Red at the Country Music Awards 2013.What made the performance extra special- for her I'm sure more than anyone else- was who she was joined on stage by: Alison Krauss and Vince Gill.

T-Swift may get slated by many for her voice (which was near enough perfect here) and the content of her lyrics, but she shouldn't care when her own idols are willing to get up on stage and essentially play her backing group. It speaks volumes to the impact she's had on the scene in such a short time, and at such a young age.

The whole performance was gorgeous!

This strange event was aired during Celine Dion's stint on Le Banquier- which is apparently the Quebec derivative of the game show that loves boxes: Deal Or No Deal. I'm not sure why they were filming this moment- or following her into the loo- but it proves that Celine doesn't have to mime the belts (as some have suggested) to latest single, Loved Me Back To Life. She's clearly more than capable of hitting the notes.

The video ends with the Canadian Diva showing her funny side, telling a man heading to the restroom- which she'd just left- that he should use it quickly before she purchases it for its "amazing" sound. I can only imagine what "sound" he thought she was talking about! (...at least I think she was joking....)

Happy Birthday, Joni Mitchell!

Joni Mitchell turns 70 today! Happy Birthday, Joni! To celebrate the day, and the life, of one of the greatest singer-songwriters ever, I thought I'd post five of my favourite tracks from her. It wasn't easy to do, but I limited myself to five from the outset so as to not go nuts posting every Joni Mitchell song in existence. I've also tried to stay away from her most well known hits- like Blue, California, Big Yellow Taxi and Both Sides Now- to make it a little more interesting.
