[Free For All Friday] Go Nuts, People!

It's that time of the week again: Welcome to another Free For All Friday! I'm STARVING, so while you gossip about whatever, I'm going ta get to cooking some pasta. I'll check back in later!

As per usual, the rules:
  • Try not to get too perverted-this site still needs to basically be "safe for work".
  • If somebody starts a controversial subject, try keeping it civil when dealing with it. If things get out of hand please flag the conversation.
  • It would be nice if it stuck to music, but it's not a requirement! So talk about news, current events, how you're getting your hair done next time you hit the hairdresser! Whateves, really!
  • No nasty comments aimed at other users.
Inappropriate hugs to all y'all and wishing you an awesome weekend [of the bank holiday kind if you're from my neck of the woods]!

[Album Review] Charlotte Church Continues To Amaze With Ep "Three"

To those hoping to hear more from Charlotte Church's  mezzo, you need look no further than her newly released EP, Three. In fact you won't have to wait longer than the coda of first track-the stunning Sparrow- to witness the Diva deftly using its operatic weight against a cacophony of dissonant guitars. It's an apt introduction to this collection of seven songs, which are darker in tone and more experimental with the vocals.

[New Music] Toni and Tamar Braxton Return With New Music. One good, the other not so much.

Another release from Tamar Braxton's September-due album Love and War has been uploaded to SoundCloud- say hello to All the Way. This grown up slice of Rnb was written by the legendary Diane Warren (and Tamar, I should add) and it's a slow burner that improves with every listen. The vocals aren't as showy as we've come to expect from the youngest Braxton, but that doesn't mean they're any less impressive.

Unfortunately the more I hear from this album, the more I think it will probably flop- not that I'm wanting that. But Rnb isn't selling right now and that's what Tamar is delivering. However, I'll be the first to pony up my pounds if it's full of quality like this and the album's title track. So Tamar you can sleep easy knowing you should have at least one guaranteed sale come the release date...

[Music Video] Sunny MKS Video For "Flatline" Gives This Viewer The Chills

The Sugababes MKS video for Flatline has arrived, marking the first time the ladies have been seen on celluloid together since 2001's Soul Sound video. Unfortunately, whereas the record itself was worth the wait, the uninspired video I could have done without.

The biggest problem I have with the video is the lack of ANY chemistry between the members. The video does its best to convince us that all is well- because nothing says "best friends" like being crammed onto a bike with them- but I'm not buying it! Even the sunny climes of the video did little to raise the frosty feel.

[Music Video] Cher Débuts "Woman's World" Video On Often Hateful and Misogynistic Daily Mail Website, Why?

Can someone explain to me why Queen of Camp Cher made the music video for Woman's World an exclusive on the often hateful to all minorities (and females), Daily Mail website? Could it be that the rag offered-up the raw material for the opening wig in return for the exclusive? Or even better, was Cher being knowingly ironic in choosing a site which often spreads negativity to début a song with a positive message? I have no idea, but I'd like to think it was a better reason than just exposure or cashola.

[Discuss] Did Lady Gaga Come Off Worse After Twitter Battle With Perez Hilton?

Gaga perez kiss

Gaga is back, so guess what, so is the controversy. After calling for love and peace between all stanbases of the world [exhibit A], the singer-songwriter decided to follow that sentiment with a shot from her avant-garde crossbow at ex-bestie Perez Hilton,  and one-time idol Madonna.  So much for creating harmony amongst fans! [Music Video] Ariana Grande & Nathan Skyes Romance On "Almost is Never Enough"

Ariana Grande, Nathan Sykes

For those who wanted a change of pace from Ariana Grande after the up-tempo style of singles The Way and Baby,I, new song Almost is Never Enough should satisfy you.

The piano-led ballad features a surprising choice of duetting partner in The Wanted's Nathan Skyes. Even more odd is how different his voice sounds to the way I remember it being on any of his group's singles. I'm actually shocked at how good his voice actually is.However, much like with Ariana, his delivery feels to be more imitation than innovation, so I'm reigning in my appreciation a little at this point. Further singles from the singer may change my mind.

Still, this Boyz II Men homage is making me feel all warm and nostalgic, so I can't hate on it.
