[Watch] Kelly Clarkson And Beyonce At 2013 Obama Inauguration

Our American Divas were out in force to celebrate the second term inauguration of President Obama in Washington, DC. Kelly Clarkson was the first to show her patriotic pride, giving a rousing rendition of My Country Tis of Thee which concluded with quite a few held notes that really let Kelly's impressive vibrato shine. Overall this was a performance that wasn't as polished as Beyonce's, but it's hard to knock the emotion it packed.

I think Tamar Braxton has realised that Love And War isn't going to happen at this point. It's a realisation that might explain the fiscally considerate, black and white video that has been served to accompany the delicious Rnb groove- which let's not forget managed to hit #1 on the Itunes chart for all of about 24 hours.

"Truth be told", Tamar's weave was the thing that held my eyes captive throughout the entirety of the video. The way she worked it so artistically and with such flair had me convinced it was a metaphor for the tumultuous relationship of the lyrics. I just can't figure out how at this point. What I am sure of, is that a large portion of the budget went on its maintenance- so consistently luxurious and life-giving it was.

Could American Idol Damage Mariah Carey's career?

Now, being in Britain- and being exceptionally lazy- I haven't had a chance to watch the premier of American Idol season 12. However, I have read my fair share of reviews of the show, and one thing is clear: Nicki Minaj is coming out on top in the battle of the Divas. Granted, it's only the first episode, but let's not let that stop us making wild judgements and alarmist statements on the repercussions this show may have on Mariah Carey and Nicki Minaj's respective careers.

[Review] Destiny's Child Flop With First New Song In Eight Years

I'd read about Destiny's Child reuniting for Beyonce's gig at the 2013 Super Bowl, as well as the promise of new material from the trio, just this morning. I didn't have to wait too long for this new music to materialise, as the snoozefest that is Nuclear has just hit the net. Boy am I glad I didn't have much time to let the anticipation of a new DC song really build, because I would have been crushingly disappointed if I'd waited weeks only to hear this dud was the only thing waiting for me.

Christina Aguilera didn't have the best year, performance wise,in 2012; rounding it off with the worst performance of her career at the American Music Awards [here]. It's now 2013, and thanks to the People's Choice Awards, we have our first chance to see/hear if this downward trend will continue into the new year.

Picking a ballad from Lotus- in the form of the Sia assisted Blank Page- the Diva dropped the gimmicks and tight costumes that have so far plagued this era. Instead, Christina chose to share the stage with only a piano and her trusty red microphone, leaving it to her voice to impress. The result was an elegant and mesmerising performance of a great song.

You have to admire Nelly Fertardo. Despite her latest album, Spirit Indestructible, selling a shockingly low 6,000 copies in the States during its opening week- not to mention the poor performance of its first three singles- the eclectic songstress is still pushing the project, releasing the Darkchild produced Waiting for the Night as single numero cuatro.

I saw this photo yesterday- curtsey of Mariah Carey's Twitter- and was stunned! And even now, my brain can't seem to form any sort of coherent opinion on it... I'm not quite sure what is going on!  However, I just thought you guys should all see it too, and maybe help me to come to some sort of consensus on what I should be feeling!
