Madonna Takes A Ride On the Carpool Karaoke
Anyone want to watch Madonna's Carpool Karaoke session?
I don't, so I won't. I'm too hungover and too damn tired to stand for James Corden's shtick and (please don't call me) Madges' attention seeking antics. Granted, this could be a simple sing and drive scenario, but knowing the Diva, she's going to want to be extra and I can't stomach that right now.
For those of you who can, enjoy Madonna's ride on the The Late Late Show's Carpool Karaoke.

[Music Video] Madonna - "B!tch I'm Madonna"
Anyone expecting a big budget extravaganza, akin to that Taylor Swift created with her celeb-rich Bad Blood video, are going to be disappointed today. Sure, B!tch I'm Madonna does deliver on the hinted at A-list cameos- with Beyonce, Katy Perry and Miley Cyrus all popping up- but they're in no way integrated into the spectacle, as was the case with Tay's video.
Labels:
beyonce,
Katy Perry,
madonna,
Miley Cyrus,
nicki Minaj

Terrence Howard Joins Madonna For "Ghosttown" Visuals
Having already commenced promoting Ghosttown (most notably at the iHeart Radio Awards with Taylor Swift), Madonna has finally gotten around to releasing the accompanying visuals for Rebel Heart's latest single.

[Watch] Madonna Belts Out "Ghosttown" With T-Swift @ 2015 iHeart Awards
Madonna left the cape at home for her performance at the iHeart Music Awards yesterday. Instead she chose to accessorise with perhaps the biggest pop star in the world: Taylor Swift. (If you don't believe that she was just a prop, peep the extra guitarist on stage, despite there only being one playing on the track.) Whatever the case, it was definitely a less painful way of generating publicity.

[Watch] All 2015 Brit Award Performances
Rather than review (and watch) each 2015 Brit Award performance, I'm going to post them all here for your immediate consumption. I did consider waiting till I had the time to watch them, but I think by the time I do that, the effort wouldn't have been worth the delay!
And since the organisers have done the greatest thing ever by uploading each performance to their YouTube page, I'm embedding ALL of them- not just those by our Divas. Seriously, you don't understand how much easier it makes a blogger's life when you don't have to search for bootleg uploads to embed.

[Watch] Madonna Takes A Tumble @ 2015 Brit Awards!!!
I feel strangely guilty. The moment I turn on the 2015 Brit Awards, Madonna takes a tumble down a flight of stairs!
Despite looking in pain, that wasn't going to stop our tough as nails Diva from closing the show! Nope, the lady got back up and carried on as if nothing had happened. That is real professionalism in action.

Did Madonna Shade 2015 Grammy Attendees With Matador Theme
Madonna arrived at the 2015 Grammy Awards looking like a confused matador. It was not a pretty sight and made little to no sense for the occasion, or when viewed alongside the dress code taken by others at the event. It was only when it came time for her live showing of Living for Love that it became clear why she chose to dress as she did.

Rihanna Ruins 2015 Already With "Vogue" Cover
I am aware enough to know I'm perhaps the only person on this site looking forward to Rihanna's new project, R8. However, just because I enjoy the Diva's schtick it does not mean I am blind to her limitations. Case in point, this newly surfaced, TERRIBLE cover of Madonna's Vogue.

[Review] Madonna Returns with New Music: "Living For Love"
Was Madonna's hand forced, or was the release of this new song a calculated move planned to ride the ripple of waves the leak of her album generated earlier in the week?

Madonna Reacts to Album Leaking
With no release date, or even sign of a first single in sight, the entirety of Madonna's new album- at least a demo version of it- has leaked onto the internet! Saints preserve us!

Singing Nun Covers Madonna's 'Like a Virgin'
You best believe I'm not wasting time capping an image of this video. |
Say what?! I know, right! A lady of the cloth covering the Queen of Darkness' iconic hit just sounds wrong in every way! But wait, it actually kinda works- though admittedly in a creepy, strange way- if we imagine the touching part to be a metaphor of the spiritual sort and not a physical kind.

Happy Birthday, Madonna!
(Note this was supposed to post AUTOMATICALLY yesterday...sigh)
It's her Madgesty's birthday today!
To celebrate the birth of this chameleon and game-changing Diva, here are 5 tracks from her that you've probably never heard before. Feel free to leave your own favorite songs (well known or not) in the comments, as well as your well wishes/ thoughts on the Diva.

News Spam: Joss Stone, Mariah Carey and Madonna
I was a little miffed when during the talks about who would sit on The Voice (UK) judging panel, that there was no mention of one of Britain's best young singers, Joss Stone. Well though there was no mention of her name, it turns out that the singer was in fact asked, and guess what, she turned it down! Her reason:
"The thing is I love music and I love singing with other people and I don't see it as a competition at all. I feel that those things are really good to get exposure but they kind of make it into a competition and that is just sad.
"Other than that it is great because they get to be heard by millions and they never would have been before."

Spam Post: Madonna, No Doubt, The XX
I realise that I miss mentioning a lot of videos because I don't have the time to review them. So as of today I'm creating the "Spam post". This will be dedicated to more than one Diva, and will be used to keep you updated on new releases/videos/songs.
Don't let that stop you telling me what YOU think about the featured material- I love reading your opinions!

Lady Gaga Responds To Madonna's "Shade" During A Performance Of "Hair"
The Born This Way/ Express Yourself saga continues! Our last chapter in the story had Madonna showing us that though she may be the Queen of Pop, it isn't the only crown she wears with pride, being the undisputed Queen of shade, too.

Madonna Covers Lady Gaga's "Born This Way". But Why?
Now we all know that Madonna is one shady character, and someone who is fond of cryptically- or not so cryptically in the case of Mariah Carey and Janet Jackson- attacking others when it suits her (most noticeably when she needs publicity). We also know that Lady Gaga's Born This Way sounds a lot like Madonna's classic Express Yourself and that the Queen of pop herself commented on the likeness by saying,
"When I heard ['Born This Way'] on the radio… I said, 'That sounds very familiar'… It felt reductive. "
This being the case, when footage from Madonna's latest tour rehearsal leaked showing her performing a mash-up of Express Yourself and Born This Way, one couldn't help but question her motives for doing it.

Album Review: Madonna "MDNA" Terrible, Bad or Just Average? I'm Not Even Sure!
Going solely on my first listen of Madonna's twelfth studio album, MDNA, this was how I was going to open the subsequent review:
I'm going to dust off a word to describe Madonna's new album, MDNA, that by its very usage, in the 21st century, will probably make it applicable to me, but it’s so apt that I don't really have a choice. Simply put, MDNA is kinda "Naff".
However subsequent listens have warmed me to it, but not in a way that I feel entirely comfortable with the set. There is still a gnawing sensation that something isn't right with it, but I can't seem to put my finger on it. The reason I include this is because it doesn't feel like the book is fully shut on this review, but for it to be timely it has to be published now. Further listens to the album, or opinions from you guys, may have me reconsidering my thoughts on it and if that happens they will be placed right at the bottom, and the rest of the review will be unaltered. Anyway, let me take my meds and get on with the real review
