Idina Menzel Responds to New Year's Eve Vocals : "You can't get it all right all the time"



I'm not sure how many of you watched Idina Menzel's performance of Let It Go at Dick Clark's Rockin' New Year's Eve special on ABC- I know I didn't! I did, however, read people's negative reaction to the rendition, mostly coming from the Twitter-folk.

[Duellng Divas] "Baby, It's Cold Outside"



Since it is the season, I thought this latest addition to the Duelling Divas series should be somewhat related.

We've already had a Christmas battle [See: O Holy Night], so this time I've found a winter classic that is pertinent to the coldest season of the northern hemisphere, but isn't holiday related. A bonus of this pick is that it's been covered by such a wide range of singers, over such a large period of time, that we'll get to deal with Divas who don't usually get a look in on the blog.

[Listen] Idina Menzel Covers Mariah Carey's "All I want For Christmas is You"



I don't think I'll ever get tired of Mariah Carey's All I Want For Christmas. In fact, I think I could stand to hear it all year round. (Something I'm sure Mariah's publisher would also want to see happening). Still, it takes a brave Diva to cover such an iconic song.

Enter The Snow Queen herself, Idina Menzel, who recorded the Christmas classic for her seasonal LP, Holiday Wishes.
