Ciara Serves Up Sauce with "Dance Like We're Making Love" Visuals
Looks like Ciara's vocal profile got a spruce up just in time for the release of the Dance Like We're Making Love video. Three cheers for synchronicity!
It's another slowy from the Diva's newest album Jackie, and for someone best known for her upbeat stuff, this is always going to be a risky strategy come chart time. However, I'm actually surprised at how much I enjoyed this saucy song. Maybe I won't be alone in feeling this way and Dance Like We're Making Love will become a sneaky smash.
The Dave Meyer's directed video is also pretty gorgeous, too! You Go Girl, Cici.

[Vocal Profile]Ciara
Vocal Type: Soubrette Soprano/ Light-Lyric Mezzo Soprano
Voice range Studio: (G#2-Bb5) 3 octaves and 1 note
Vocal Range Live: (C3-C#6) 3 octaves and a semi-tone

Vocal Pluses: Ciara possesses a light/bright nimble voice, capable of intricate runs. Not your typical singer, starting out as a dancer/singer with little to no control over her instrument, she has grown into a singer/dancer with improved breath control, dynamics, tone and power. The Washington Post has said of her voice that she has a "reedy, agile voice, capable of conveying the only 3 emotions (sexy, sassy, and sad) an R&B singer needs".

[Music Video] Ciara - "I Bet"
Some of you have already seen (and shaded) Ciara's take on ballerina badass in the visuals for new single, I Bet. Produced by Harmony Samuels, this screw-you boo anthem finds the Diva on a tamer tip.
Now, I do usually like subdued Ciara (Promise is a fav), but this track is all kinds of yawn. A frustrating fact since I want Cici to succeed. However I don't think I Bet is going to be the track that brings the Diva into the eyeline of anyone bar the folks already checking for her. (I hope I'm wrong!)

[Watch] Ciara And Nicki Minaj Perform @ BET 2013 Awards
Crunk&B Queen Ciara is consistently slept on, even though she has got to be one of- if not THE- best female performer out there right now. Part of the problem, other than people perceiving her voice as being "weak" (which I don't agree with), has to be the inconsistent material she keeps coming with.
This era seems to be the most unfocused to date, with the dancing Diva grasping at previous sounds to try and regain relevance. It's a strategy that clearly isn't working! CiCi needs to stop looking backwards for inspiration and instead be pushing forwards, setting new trends with her music and choreography, because she is more than capable of leading.

Ciara- "Gimme dat" official video
The video is great too and has Ciara displaying some amazing choreography, reminding us that she- move over Beyonce- is the strongest female dancer out there.
Ciara you certainly have been "gone for too long" and I, for one, am looking forward to the return of the Queen of Crunk!
