Has Britney Spears Got Her Groove Back?
Yeah I came for Britney after her not so great VMA performance, but this Instagram clip has me thinking that something has changed since then at camp Brit. Either they've finally sorted out her knee- because she looks to be moving with way more ease and fluidity- or they've changed her meds. The hair is still busted though, but let's not dwell on that.
Whatever the case, I'm excited to see more switched on performances from the Diva as she continues to plug new album, Glory.

[Vocal Profile] Britney Spears
Vocal Type: Soubrette
Vocal Range: 4 octaves F#2- F#6
Vocal Pluses: Britney Spear's strength comes from her unique vocal timbre. Nasal and childlike the sound produced helps to distinguish her from others, being instantly recognisable. Capable of melisma [Gimme More], the ability to hold notes [I'm Not A Girl, Not Yet A Woman] and to jump to different octaves [Mona Lisa], she has displayed proficiency (in the studio) that suggests some skill.

Britney Spears Sadly Didn't Slay Like We Wanted @ 2016 VMAs
You know I love Britney Spears. Yes, honestly. And as much as I always want to give her the benefit of the doubt and an easy ride, her performance at this year's VMA's wasn't great.

Did Britney Spears Lip-Sync During Her Carpool Karaoke? Do We Even Care?
Britney Spears doing Carpool Karaoke with James Corden was always going to be an interesting one. Not because the premise of The Late Late Show segment requires the passenger to sing with the host as they carpool. (Okay, so maybe that a bit.) But more so because we get a chance to see Britney interact without the handlers nearby influencing her.
Whether this was a factor or not, Brit did appear more engaged and honest -fyi she's done with men( but will still French kiss em for fun). And though it was fun at times to watch, the diva still seems to be missing something behind the eyes, which makes me a little sad. Boo.
Botney may not be a thing of the past just yet, but Britney is slowly coming back to us. Let's hope this shines through during Sunday's MTV Video Music Award performance.

Britney Spears and Katy Perry release new music
Today is a good day for fans of Divas usually filled under the label: “entertainer”.
Surprise releases have come from two of pop's biggest names, Katy Perry and Britney Spears. Whereas the latter's new song is set to support the Olympic coverage in the US- and is bullshitingly (currently) hid behind an "exclusivity" to a streaming service, so I can't post it- Britney Spears' Make Me... (ft. G-Eazy) is thankfully on YouTube for all of us to hear.

Mary J. Blige, Britney Spears, RuPaul and others Unite For Pulse Tribute, "Hands"
The tributes to those slain in the Pulse massacre continue to come forth from the entertainment industry. Released yesterday, Hands features a huge (and varied) group of entertainers from both the mainstream and the LGBT community. Written by Justin Tranter, Julia Michaels and BloodPop, the song seeks to be both uplifting and inspirational, with the "Hands" of the title being a metaphor for people coming together and creating a change.
The full roll call of artists featured are as follows: Mary J. Blige, Jason Derulo, Tyler Glenn, Halsey, Imagine Dragons, Juanes, Mary Lambert, Jennifer Lopez, Kacey Musgraves, MNEK, Alex Newell, P!nk, Prince Royce, Nate Ruess, RuPaul, Ty Herndon, Troye Sivan, Jussie Smollett, Meghan Trainor, the Trans Chorus of Los Angeles, Spears, Stefani, Lambert and Gomez.
Money raised from the song will go to the Equality Florida Pulse Victims Fund, the GLBT Community Center of Central Florida and GLAAD.

[Watch] Britney Spears Takes Billboard Awards 2016 On A Journey With A Medley Of Her Hits
Britney Spears put on quite the show at the 2016 Billboard Music Awards.
Singing a medley of hits, the Diva had set pieces, dancers and all kinds of razzle-dazzle going on. The first few minutes were concerning, having me convinced it was going to be eight minutes of smoke and mirrors to distract from Spears' robotic movements. However, as she progressed through the set, the stomping around the stage and spastic movements became less frequent, as fluidity and life came to the Diva.

[Watch] Ariana Grande Impersonates Christina Aguilera and Celine Dion On The Tonight Show
Ariana Grande rocked up to The Tonight Show where she gave an interview that I did not watch. What she also did was play the Wheel Of Musical Impressions with host Jimmy Fallon. Now that I did watch!

Iggy Azalea and Britney Spears Lipsync For Their Lives @ 2015 Billboard Awards
Whoever is currently medicating Britney Spears is doing a bang up job! I almost believed she was a real girl watching her strut and work the stage with Iggy Azalea at this year's Billboard Awards .

[Music Video] Britney Spears' "Pretty Girls" Continues to Be "Fancy" Pt.2
So we've already established how Pretty Girls is Fancy pt. 2. Well the video does nothing to challenge this connection with an aesthetic that swipes its '90s-inspired, Clueless visuals too.
But there is some levity to be found, with a little skit midway and a zany narrative that sees Iggy the alien abduct my child, Britney Spears. The sad thing is, I'm not entirely sure Britney got that this was a music video and not real life. The excited look of happiness on her face, when the transporter beam narrows in on her, leads me to believe she thought her life of servitude to the record label and her dad was finally over. #freebritney

[New Music] Britney Spears Feat. Iggy Azalea - "Pretty Girls"
The impact Iggy Azalea's Fancy made when it was released last year was lost on me from zee outset. The obnoxious hook and weak (The Invisible Men/The Arcade) production that inspired such love from others, had me experiencing mild revulsion whenever the song played.

Britney Spears Continues To Be My Hero After Fall
Britney Spears, you continue to inspire with your unflappable work ethic!
Watch, in a amazement, as the Diva lands badly on an ankle and still manages to give us improvised floor choreography- despite the pain. If you, Ms.Spears, can can carry on entertaining with a busted-up ankle and (what I assume) is still a dodgy knee, then I can go to work with a black eye! (Well, after I foundation the F**k out of it!)
"Did you ever know that you're my hero? You're everything I wish I could be. I could fly higher than an eagle, 'cause you are the wind beneath my wings."

[Watch] Christina Aguilera Imitates Cher, Britney And Shakara on The Tonight Show
Christina Aguilera joined Tonight Show host Jimmy Fallon for a chinwag yesterday.
It was during this sit-down that an invitation to partake in a reoccurring segment, the Wheel of Musical Impressions, was extended to the Diva. And being the

[Forbes' Rich List 2014] Diva's Making Money!
This post is about something which is of no real concern to us plebs. Like really, what does it matter that these divas have gotten even more filthy rich over the period June 2013 to June 2014? Still, human nature is such that we are all as nosy as a Proboscis monkey/anteater cross, so let me just go right on ahead and post Forbes' tally of top earning female musicians.
For those wondering how they calculated the figures for said list, check out their site [here]. Even so, I'd take these figures with a pinch of these-don't-affect-my-life-in-any-way-so-who-really-cares. Though, if any of you lovely Divas are reading this, how bout buying me a diamond necklace. You clearly can afford it and I obviously deserve it....

[Listen] Britney Spears' Unedited "Alien" Vocals Leak
Ever wanted to hear Britney Spears sans auto-tune? Well today is your lucky day, as the original audio for Alien mysteriously found its way onto the internet.
The thought of this happening must be a concern for most vocally-challenged Divas. However, I'm guessing Britney will remain unbothered by this blip. The track's producer, on the other hand, seemed more concerned and issued a statement- thereby confirming the authenticity of the recording- in an attempt to do damage control:

[Watch] Britney Spears Whips Alan Carr's Minions into shape
Do you ever feel like those around you aren't giving all that they could when in your glorious presence? That your family, co-workers, and/or friends just aren't pulling their weight when necessary? I used to be like you, but then turned to the Britney Spears "Work B!tch" program to whip those layabouts into shape!! Now no longer do I have to put up with anything less than 100% from those I surround myself with! Just watch Britney demonstrate her incentivising skills on television personality Alan Carr's slacking lackeys!!
Silliness aside, this little skit from his interview with Britney had me giggling like an immature chimp- mainly because of her ending each crack with "Work B!tch". The reason why she was putting her whip to use wasn't out of sheer randomness though, but to demonstrate the "skill" she learnt while filming her latest promo.
Check out that clip and the whole interview, where Brit didn't seem half as awkward as usual, below. Hooray for almost there, but not quite, Britney!

[News Spam] Mariah Carey, Britney Spears, Lady Gaga, Cher and Charlotte Church
Mariah Carey has released the title to the follow-up single to smash, #Beautiful. Are you ready for this? Well here it is, the name of her next single will be: The Art Of Letting Go...Yes, the same title as that of her new album. You know, the one she told us the name of back in August! Totally worth the wait...
Also, Mariah dropped a message to her lambs, via Facebook, telling them of the trials and tribulations that she has suffered of late. Her latest set will reflect these struggles, thus creating one of her most "important albums" to date . No shade, but Mariah, you say near enough the same thing everytime you release a new album. Still stoked for it though.

[Music Video] Britney Spears "Work B!tch"
Work B!tch is still doing as much for me as a cold cup of tea, but hey, the video is out, so let's see if that can do anything to improve my feelings towards it- I'm shallow like that sometimes.
The Ben Mor directed visuals are actually heartening to behold. There's less of the fast edits that were done last era to disguise Britney Spears' sloppy choreography, and there is definitely a sparkle back behind the ol' peepers- though that could have been added post production! Overall, it's a good promo for a crumby song and it should convince many- not me- that she's back on form and ready for her two-year stint in Las Vegas.
Finally, I will say this once more and then shut up about it because I feel like a broken record: Will.i.am please stay away from the production on the album. You can help select songs, design the cover with your Crayola felt tips and glitter glue, choreograph the routines, or even turn Mama Knowles and single-handedly design and sew Britney's entire tour wardrobe; just please stay away from the music itself. I'm begging you!!!

[New Music] Britney Spears "Work B!tch"
Britney Spears' new musical era has begun with the pushed forward release of single, Work B*tch.
The song isn't what I was expecting from the Diva, and honestly I'm left a little cold with the dance direction they've decided to take. Damn you Will.i.am!! However, I've only given the EMD-influenced cut a couple of spins, so perhaps it'll grow on me once the disappointment that she hasn't ventured back into Blackout territory has subsided
Still, it's nice/brave to try new things, so some respect goes to Britney/her handlers for not retreading old ground. (You know things are bad when I'm serving up generic platitudes!) Maybe you guys can help me understand how I should be feeling about the song in the comments.

[Video Spam] Demi Lovato, Ellie Goulding, Lana Del Rey, Britney Spears, Regina Spektor and Beyonce
Video spam time again! Get ready to be hit with a random assortment of Diva related videos!
First up we have Ellie Goulding's new track, Burn. Clearly hoping to capitalise on the success she's enjoying in the club with her Calvin Harris duet I Need Your Love, Burn has Ellie continuing in a similar vein. Dance floors beware!
Burn is taken from the re-release of second album Halycon, now called Halcyon Days, and a useless fact for you: a version of the song was originally recorded by Leona Lewis for her Glassheart album!
