So, a few months ago I stumbled across this Ezi Emela, chick. Everything about her had me captivated... She was dark and gorgeous, with features atypical of the western beauty standards, but were to die for among West Africans/ African Americans/ West Indian people. Not only that but she had a very interesting sound and image. The track Chineke Meh is a slow R&B ballad, about good old fashion love making. She mixed her native Igbo accent with an R&B one to create a rather unique sound of her own. Her voice is soft and creamy and suits the track well.
The music video is even more Igbo influenced than the song, with sultry West African foot work, neat box braids and a number of West African cultural items such as kente patterned clothing, painted shell jewellery, and face paint. Lastly, there were two very hot men at her throne-side mid-video.
Check it out for yourself!
