The American Music Awards took place yesterday at the Microsoft Theater in LA and Ariana Grande was not only a performer, but the recipient of the Artist Of The Year award!!
With that to celebrate, you have to wonder why her performance ended up being so lethargic.
The rendition of Side To Side on the night was maybe the laziest I've heard her, with the Diva walking through the vocal like it was a dress rehearsal. The performance itself might have slayed -didn't watch, just listened- but I (and Ari, clearly) wasn't there for the vocal. Saying that, her annunciation was MUCH better. Every cloud, eh!
As for Nicki Minaj, she was a mess as usual. I do not understand how she always sounds so bad when she only has to come out and spit a few bars.
