Despite the NFL denying she was in the running, Lady Gaga has today confirmed her appointment as the Super Bowl halftime act via her Twitter.
An entertainer through and through, there's little doubt Gaga will put on a show that will leave us gagging. However, it'll be interesting to see if/how she bends and moulds her often controversial style to fit the show's conservative viewership.
My feeling? Gaga will be pushing the rock/ Bruce Spingsteen/blue denim, white t-shirt/ all American aesthetic. Still looks conventionally "rebellious", but all done without risking the wrath of middle America. Could win her some new fans, too. The (not so) Lil' (any more) Monsters have been deserting her ever since she fell off, so Lord knows she could do with some new consumers.
Prove me wrong Gaga. If you come out crazy weird and SUPER GAY with SJW messages a-blazin', I'll respect you forever. Not because I want any of that, but because that's the platform you built yourself on.
But what do you want/expect from Gaga and her halftime show?
