Angela Lansbury is a legend in my eyes.
And being as how much I love her, I wasn't expecting this video of her singing the theme to Beauty and the Beast to leave me feeling anything but happy and gay(er). What actually happened was slightly unnerving.
The nostalgia was there, but it was kinda bitter-sweet and tinged with sadness. With time and change being themes of the actual song, seeing them manifest on Angela and her voice made this rendition a little too real for me. Cue a moment of existential crisis. But not to worry, a short, sharp slap to the face got me back to numb and DOA.
Filmed at 25th anniversary screening of the Disney classic, this was a lovely tribute to the cartoon masterpiece.
