Who in their right mind thought it would be a good idea for Ariana Grande to start a live performance taking part in a spin class?
Already prone to breathlessness, the seated position and peddling was always going to be a recipe for vocal disaster. Poor projection, pitch-y notes, and bad dynamics unsurprisingly ensued. Strangely these problems persisted even after she'd dismounted and taken up stationary position. Had the poor start knocked her confidence, or was she "ill" (as is the famous Diva excuse when the voice ain't right)? I guess someone will let me know soon enough.
Even the appearance of Nicki Minaj didn't help lift this flat take on Side to Side. Mess.
