You know I love Britney Spears. Yes, honestly. And as much as I always want to give her the benefit of the doubt and an easy ride, her performance at this year's VMA's wasn't great.
Being her first at the award show since that iconic rendition of Gimme More, the world was expecting something triumphant- a return to form. And starting alone on the stage, I was (stupidly) sure slayage was a-comin'. I mean, why else would they risk having her front-and-center with no where to hide? But nope, it was the Britney we've come to know and be sad about, with half-realised choreography and poor lip-syncing.
She looked good, though. That's something, right?
