Missy Elliot's brand of creativity has been a source of inspiration for many- myself included.
Carving her way through the rap game with great production, unique rhymes and a visual aesthetic that doesn't trade on her sexuality, this Diva is a legend for not only what she has achieved with her career (thus far) but also how she went about it. And thankfully, she's back to provide the next generation of female rappers an alternative route to that taken by Nicki Minaj, Azealia Banks and Iggy Azalea, who serve body and controversy just as much (if not more) as lyrical skill.
Take a bite of her new single WTF. And below that are three other morsels for those unfamiliar with her work (which I can't believe is anyone). If you have alternative choices of slayage, then please leave those in the comments.
The Rain (Her first solo video)
She's A B"tch (one of the best videos EVER, by anyone, in my opinion)
Get ur Freak on (Maybe her most well known video)
Thoughts?
