Christina Aguilera Delivers Controlled (and Gorgeous) Vocal On "Anywhere But Here"

Christina Aguilera's contribution to Finding Neverland: The Album (Songs From the Broadway Musical) has been uploaded to YouTube in its entirety.

I've said it before, and I'll say it again: When this Diva stays within her comfortable range- and refrains from excessive melisma- her voice sounds beautiful. Its strength- for me personally- lies within the midrange and head voice. And that's just what we get from this take on Anywhere But Here.

Whether someone had a gun to her head artistic control over how she actually delivered the song or not will be interesting to know. But I'm hopeful this was Xtina's own vision for the song. After all, we've seen her reign it in before [Lift Me Up (live)/Say Something].
