What's the consensus? I can't remember if we decided to let Jennifer Lopez into the "Divas that can sing well" camp. Remind me, will ya.
If you're still undecided on this extremely important issue- as I am- then maybe this video is for you. She already performed a straight out vocal piece on American Idol this year (and by that I mean there was no dancing to distract or excuse the singing). But here, at The Latin Billboard Awards, the Diva spiced it up by delivering both ballads and uptempo numbers in a medley of songs that paid tribute to murdered star, Selena Quintanilla. #versatile.
JLo sounded pretty good, in all truth. The mid-range was strong, there were held notes that showed an understanding of breath control, and she effectively conveyed the emotion of each song. (Me being a moron, didn't understand any of the Spanish lyrics. Well I did a few, but nothing to get excited about.)
But what did you guys think? Nah or Yah?
