If you're a fan of Christina Aguilera's heavier, darker timbre, you're going to love the Diva's performance at the 50th Annual Academy of Country Music Awards.
Opening with Shotgun- a(nother) song coming from her time on TV show Nashville- Christina remained parked in the lower end of her instrument, giving us some surprisingly solid notes from there. The pace, and the octaves, did increase with follow-up, Riot. But still, though it contained some beautiful falsetto notes, it was all in all a shockingly reigned in showing from the Burlesque star.
It was left to the Rascal Flatts singer (Gary LeVox) to give us the stereotypical Diva vocals, with held notes, upper belts and little runs dotting his light vocal. Who'da thunk it!
Thoughts?
