There was some kinda tribute/lovefest held in honor of the musical icon that is Stevie Wonder which happened over in the States this week. Performances came from a variety of Divas, but it was of course Beyonce who stole the limelight with her take on a collection Stevie classics.
After reading the hyped up reaction to Bey's set, I was ready to feel some kind of way about it. Unfortunately, the reality was, I wasn't blown away. It had the voice, the moves and the A-game that only Bey can bring, but it just didn't pop for me in the way I thought it would. Is my soul dead?
Just ignore me and my foolishness. Y'all watch Yonce, with assists from Ed Sheeran and Gary Clark Jr., and see how she handled Fingertips, Master Blaster (Jammin') and Higher Ground. Where it failed to change my life, it may yours.
Thoughts?
