Are you guys using Spotify? It's like the greatest thing ever since they did away with their limits earlier in the year.
So why am I mentioning this now? (No, I'm not being paid!) Well, I just stumbled upon this album called Jazzy Mariah Carey. An LP that features Mariah's material rearranged to fit into the jazz genre. It's kinda Mariah Carey meets Nora Jones. Unfortunately the Elusive Chanteuse isn't actually singing on any of the songs, but it's still fun to hear her music re-imagined.
If you want a more upbeat take on the Diva, take a listen to the vocal-free Smooth Jazz Express: The Song's Of Mariah Carey. An album literally discovered in the process of writing the post- I'm currently on track two (not sure if I'll go much further). It's strangely very 80's sitcom, so far....
I feel like I've fallen down a rabbit hole.....Cheshire Cat, where art thou?
