We often discuss what we like about a singer's voice. However, let's today flip the table and talk about the qualities that displease our refined ears.
For me, there's never been a single thing that would totally turn me off a singer. After all, my tolerance for Marmite-timbred artists (Rihanna and Kesha, for example) has always been quite high.
But if I had to pick a vocal trait that irks, I'd go with a kermity, nasal-placed tone.
It's not a deal breaker by any means, but it can annoy me at times. So as to not throw anyone under the bus (you guys feel free to do so with your comments), I'll simply attach a video of Kermit vocalising to give you a flavor of what I mean.
How about you guys, though: What about a voice can have you reaching for those industrial strength ear plugs? Let me know!
