A new music video has arrived from Aussie pop princess, Kylie Minogue.
The second song to get the video treatment from Kiss Me Once is the surprisingly risque, and Sia penned, Sexcercise. With a name like that you know the video isn't going to be vanilla in flavor, but I certainly wasn't expecting it to start with a "Parental Advisory [explicit content]" sticker! However, there is good reason for it: this is one suggestive video!
I'm not quite clutching my pearls after watching it- because I'm a sucker for smut- but it does make me question the motive behind releasing the video at all, considering it's not a single. Is Roc Nation trying to shock the Diva's name into our mouth the week the album goes on sale? It would seem a salient move, particularly after the lukewarm reaction lead single Into the Blue received. I'm just concerned it might backfire, actually turning off the more causal listener who buys Kylie for pop music that doesn't challenge or offend.
Whatever their reasoning, hopefully this naughty homage to Olivia Newton-John's classic hit Physical will help the Diva chart high with her twelfth studio album.
