[Watch] Leona Lewis & The Big C Choir Perform "Run" @ Stand Up To Cancer Telethon

Why Leona Lewis chose to sing her cover of Snow Patrol's Run at the Stand Up To Cancer telethon, I have no idea. It's not like she has a new album out to promote with plenty of suitable material-read the review of Leona's new album Glassheart, here- or even a back catalogue of her own hits to pick from(!) [/sarcasm]

Still, it's what she decided to sing, and the addition of the Big C Choir was a really touching surprise. One especially so for those who saw the accompanying documentary that followed the cancer patients journey as they formed their choir .

As for the performance itself, it was a tiny bit bumpy (comparative to some to of the stellar performances Ms Lewis has given of this song, previously). Leona sounded as to have been having trouble with her falsetto notes: they weren't as free or readily accessible as usual, leading to some slight tuning issues near the start.  However, this was a minor niggle and the rest of Run was pretty near spotless. Also her lower range is sounding stronger than ever!

Great performance from both Leona Lewis and The Big C Choir

  1. I agree, the first chorus was a bit pitchy, but Leona being Leona always catches up. :)

  3. People who heard her when she first hit the scene care Henrique. Wasn't that clear yet?

  4. This is just one more "only one hit artist".

    NEXT!

  5. Yes, that's what she turns out to be but some were hoping to be surprised.

That "NEXT" at the end every time is losing it's power when you use it too often. ;)

  6. You obviously only care about hits, why don't you follow 1 Direction, Rihanna and those artists with lots of hits, instead of coming here and complaining about her?
She is still one of the artists that actually sings live throughout the whole song. Sadly though, she doesn't dance. But I'd settle for that voice of hers solely any day.

  7. "sings live"? Ok! But I wish she didn't. She sucks live!

  8. What a boring child you are. Adding nothing to any of these discussions. Instead of shouting "next", how about you do the moving on yourself instead of hanging on this thread and expecting other to move things along for you.
I mean, there have been posted 4 new blog entries already while you are still here asking for the "next".

  9. So just out of curiosity, how old ARE you?
Or is it just that your English is so poor, you are afraid you'd look even sillier if you'd say more?
Or maybe it's not the form but the content you fear will fall short?
Or are you so immature you think being a troll is hilarious?
And you fail to even realize I love to practice my writing and you being a troll affects me in quite a different way than you intended? It in fact allows me to have fun. :)
    Next please.

  11. They were hypothetical questions dude. :)
But really? 32??? And this kind of behavior is what you sent out into the world? Because yes you ARE trolling and simply being down on everybody who isn't Mariah Carey. Especially those you deem to be "competition" it seems. i.e. the more popular belters.

  12. Have U ever seen me writting anything bad about Josh Stone, Norah Jones, Jennifer Hudson, Pink, Whitney, Deborah Cox and many more who's ever been on this blog? I only say bad things about bad singers. That's my point of view. So respect it. I don't need to think the same you do.

  13. No I haven't. Like I said, that's because you don't consider them "competition" for Mariah. They are clearly different singers and selling albums in numbers way lower than Carey. :)

And thanks for proving the point I was making in another thread.:)
NO dear, I don't have to respect ( i.e. esteem) your comments.

I have to tolerate you having them and voicing them. ( And I do because you don't see me ever posting comments telling folks to "shut up")
And then I can exercise my right to share how little I respect( esteem) your comments.

I never said you have to think like I do ( certainly hold no hope you are even capable of such a feat tbh).
