You'd think MTV would have the hang of adding credits to the start and THE END of the videos they play by now!! Obviously not! I Just watched a video, from halfway, and was eagerly awaiting its end so I could get the details to share with you guys, but no, MTV didn't want to make my life any easier, and decided to forgo those credits!
Thank God for the playlist on their website!
Anyway, I don't know anything about this groups/trio/ band/whatever other than their name being Haim and the song title being Forever. I'd rather leave the details for another day, and instead, as the sun shines gloriously outside, let's just enjoy this great slice of retro-indie pop without any distractions.
Buy Haim's EP here
Here's a little more on the band...if anybody is interested. ;)

What do you think, opie?
ReplyDeleteNot my thing DD. A mere summer ditty I'd say. And not really one of the better at that.
ReplyDeleteNo idea what the writer of the article was listening to but if I were him I'd check the label. Can't quite marry his description to this song/band to be honest ( and seems I wasn't alone);)
I quite like it, it's a refreshing sound.
ReplyDeleteI however am sceptical as to whether they garner a load of success, but they deserve it. Its refreshing to hear a girl group that sounds edgy and less cheesy pop (Girls Aloud). Although I will just wait around for the original Sugababes to reform, that will be where the good sh*t happens ;)
His description was a little odd. I personally can't hear any Rnb in it at all. For some reason this song really reminds me of my youth, i'm not sure why- I think it sounds like something else- but it invokes happy memories for me, so I can't help but like it.
ReplyDeleteyeah, the sweetness of the track is really refreshing. As I said to opie it really reminds me of something else. Just can't put my finger on it. I'll definitely be looking forward to more music from them.
ReplyDeleteIt does have that "summer hit" sound. That's probably why it seems familiar. There's one every year which we all like for a summer and then in the bleakness of winter ...the title and band name escapes us forever. But what's not to like about songs that remind us of happy summer days eh? :)
ReplyDeleteits something else, its more specific. Its the bassline and the bridge. It's driving me mad. its something 80s. I'll figure it out eventually!!
ReplyDeleteWell I dunno about you but this reminds me of it slightly, I am not sure why though :s

Ah, one of those! Can drive you nuts can't it? Well, here's hoping you'll figure it out soon. :)
