Queen Kylie Returns With New Song "Timebomb"

From bubblegum pop to indie queen (Who I loved) to finally finding her feet, Kylie Minogue has been on a roll ever since she started making edgier pop music with album, Light Years . Case in point, a new song entitled Timebomb, released to celebrate her 25 years in the music industry. A feat I don't think many appreciate in terms of the quality of its output or its wider influence on the pop world!

Move over Madonna, Queen Kylie is ready to take her place as Reigning Queen of Pop.

  1. LOL Madonna's throne is safe, besides, the video is totally inspired by Madonna's Celebration, Ray of Light AND Hung Up! Business as usual for Kylie then!

  2.  Only person who I can think as worthy of rivaling Madonna as the queen of pop.
As she's one of the few that went toe to toe with Madonna in pop music and actually was besting her sales wise. I miss her sound on "Impossible Princess" and "Light Years", I'd still place Madonna as the queen as she tackled darker subjects while Kylie stayed on the fun poppy sound for the most part, although Madonna's experimenting did release some clunkers but still it typically worked well for her. Regardless her and Madonna are the queens of pop :P

  4. i dont know if she could replace madonna, but ive always found her much more beautiful than madonna - kylie's beauty seems more natural whereas i've always felt madonna tried to look beautiful
but i actually think the song is okay! its kinda catchy

  5. I think they are both queens of pop but personally I never heard a Kylie tune I liked. I did hear Madonna do stuff I liked.

  6. I love this song, I noticed on Digi Spy the other day! I do think however her voice is a little too processed for my liking! Very impressive career for sure, my fav songs are 'Confide in Me', 'All the lovers' and 'Did it Again'....

  7. Lol its a bit too processed here, and like Madonna she (with age) seems to be getting higher and more scathing vocally! But she for me is a lot more likeable than Madonna, just not a better songwriter....but I guess that again it comes down to what you like....

  8. I liked Dannii's 'Put the Needle on it', 'All I Wanna Do', and 'I Begin to Wonder'. A shame she never had a UK number 1, although she was in a West End musical for a while (Hunchback of Notre Dame?), so I guess she could always go back to that if she needs to. I bet she'd be cracking in 'Chicago' for instance.

  9. Are people serious when they say this was a better performance than Cheryl???? No way, plus Cheryls entrance one brave girl. Please Diva do a review of Cheryl. No disrespect to Kylie shes a legend she could stand on stage and I'd be entertained but some credit to Cheryl. I go so far to say in terms of dance and performance she is better than todays Britney and Rihanna. And Cheryl does try to sing live whenever she can.

  10. Some of my favs too! I also love 'Slow' and 'Wow'. She never looked better than in the 'Slow' video. And the 'Confide in Me' video is still amazing!

I like this song, but it sounds a little 'samey' to a lot of her previous stuff. Should do ok in the UK charts...mid 20s maybe?

BTW - did she ever do a duet with Dannii?

  11. Karen!!! I have missed you! Hope you are ok!

I agree it does sound safe for her, seems to be her niche now huh, it also sounds like another song, but I cannot put my finger on what one! Crikey I forgot about slow, a very sexy song and indeed she looked incredible at that point!

Not sure about the Dannii duet, its possible but I am not 100% sure on that one, I do think however Dannii is also overlooked, she has released more than a few good dancey numbers too, guess living in Kylie's perfect pop shadow must be tough though!
