Amy Winehouse has been found dead at her London home. According to the Telegraph:
"Miss Winehouse, who came to fame with her debut album Frank in 2003, was found at her flat in north London this afternoon, the Metropolitan Police have confirmed.
They say that they received a call at 4.05pm calling for help for a woman in Camden. Paramedics were called to the scene, but she was pronounced dead at the scene.
The death is "unexplained" but not thought to be suspicious, according to police. Sources have told the Sunday Mirror that an overdose of drink and drugs is the suspected cause of death."
Many will say it was an inevitable conclusion to such a troubled, drink and drug addled life, but I honestly never gave up hope that she would eventually get herself together, and clean up her act. The world has lost one of its great voices. Rest in Peace Amy.
Such a terrible shame and waste of an amazing talent. Hopefuly the entertainment world might sit up and take notice that eventually bad stuff will catch up on you eventually. Tormented by demons for so long I only hope that now she truly can be in peace. And will no doubt serve as a massive inspiration to future generations to come. Such a sad sad ending to a spectacular career. R.I.P Amy x Stuey
ReplyDeleteI cried when I heard this. She was amazing and unique. It just goes to show that sucess won't get rid of your probelms. Also, it must sound stupid, but it's really brought it home to me that drink and drugs physically kill you, it's not just the dangerous lifestyle. She had a beautiful voice. R.I.P.
