Lara Fabian has one of the most powerful voices I have ever heard. In my view she's as accomplished as any of the big voices out there, I go as far as to say I prefer her voice to Celine's. Andrew
she is amazing, why did I have the idea she had a 4 octave register, but honestly her voice is so outstanding, she has some thrilling live performances.
i am curious how they came to 2 octaves? she hits some really high notes with such power and amazing control. that is interesting her range is 2 octaves. i assumed her vocal range was at least 4.
She actually has 3 octaves of sung vocal range (D3-D6) and she has jokingly sung around in the whistle register up to G#6. She most likely does have at least 4 octaves. But range doesn't really matter, it's how you use it.
Agreed. Her head voice reaches up to D6 and she did this live. I reviewed Lara's live appearances and she did in fact peak at G#6 jokingly through her whistle register which leads me to believe she has consistent access to it. I think it is her personal choice not to use it. It sounded intact enough to use if she chose to do so. The D6 and G#6 are all in the clip here. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3bSoQybgIKs
